Blind Repairs in Cape Town: Restring, Re-Slat & Re-Mechanism
Blind repairs fix a jammed mechanism, a snapped cord or broken slats, so you avoid the cost of a whole new blind. In most cases Capetown Blinds repairs the blind for a fraction of replacement cost. Our fitters carry common parts and service roller, Venetian, vertical, Roman and bamboo blinds on site or at our workshop, across the greater Cape Town area.

Blind Repairs Options We Supply
Restringing & Re-Cording
Replacing broken lift cords, ladder strings and tilt cords on Venetian and wooden blinds so they raise, lower and tilt smoothly again.
Mechanism & Clutch Repairs
Fixing or replacing roller clutches, chain mechanisms, vertical headrail carriers and tilt rods so the blind operates properly.
Slat & Vane Replacement
Swapping out cracked aluminium or wood slats and damaged vertical vanes — often just the broken few, not the whole blind.
Re-Fitting & Re-Hanging
Re-securing brackets, re-hanging blinds that have come loose, and adjusting blinds that no longer sit level after a wall or window change.

Blind Repairs — Frequently Asked Questions
Do you repair blinds or only sell new ones?
We do both. Many blinds we are called to look at only need a new cord, clutch or a few slats, which is far cheaper than replacing. We give you an honest assessment and only recommend a new blind when a repair genuinely isn't worth it.
How much does a blind repair cost in Cape Town?
Most repairs start from around a R350 call-out and assessment, with the repair itself priced on the parts and labour needed. Simple restringing or a clutch swap is usually modest; we confirm the cost before doing the work.
Can you repair blinds from another supplier?
Yes — we repair blinds regardless of who originally supplied them, as long as the parts are still available. We carry common cords, chains and mechanisms that fit most standard blinds.
My roller blind won't stay up — can it be fixed?
Usually yes. A roller blind that slips or won't hold position almost always has a worn clutch mechanism, which we replace quickly and inexpensively rather than replacing the whole blind.
Do you collect blinds for repair or come to me?
Both. Quick fixes are done on site at your home or office; larger jobs like full restringing are often taken to our workshop and re-fitted once done. We arrange whichever suits the repair.
