Perforated & Privacy Slats

Aluminium Blinds — Frequently Asked Questions
Are aluminium blinds suitable for bathrooms and kitchens?
Yes — aluminium is moisture-resistant and wipes clean easily, which makes it one of the best choices for steamy bathrooms and kitchens. The powder-coated finish also resists rust in humid coastal homes.
How much do aluminium blinds cost in Cape Town?
Aluminium blinds typically run from about R550 per m² for standard white or silver slats up to around R950 per m² for coloured, woodgrain or metallic finishes. A small bathroom window is often R400–R700 fitted. We confirm pricing after measuring.
Do aluminium blinds rust near the sea?
Bare metal would, but our slats and headrails are powder-coated, which seals the aluminium against salt air. They perform well across the Atlantic Seaboard and West Coast. We still recommend faux-wood or fabric for windows that get direct sea spray.
What slat width should I choose?
25mm is the standard and suits most windows. For very small or narrow windows a 16mm slat looks more in proportion, while larger windows can carry a wider slat for fewer slats and a cleaner view when open.
Are aluminium blinds noisy in the wind?
They can rattle if a window is left open on a windy Cape day. Closing or tilting the slats, or adding hold-down brackets at the base, keeps them still — we fit these on request for breezy spots.
